The Sea of Life Project

JCI Manila's Sea of Life Project aims to build environmental awareness regarding the rapid degradation of our marine natural resources due to illegal means of fishing (dynamite, cyanide, poaching). Sea of Life, in partnership with Palawan Geographic Society, Sheridan Beach Resort, Chris Dearne, in cooperation with other JCI chapters, local government, NGOs, media, and the private sector will plant artificial marine reefs in various scuba diving locations throughout the Philippines.

We hope to help rebuild or enhance the damaged reefs and enhance the local fishing livelihood of that local community!  Project Sea of Life is scheduled on September 30- October 2, 2011 hosted by Sheridan Beach Resort and Spa www.sheridanbeachresort.com at Puerto Princessa, Palawan (Philippines). Other locations TBA.
